BAGATELLE woven rattan chair

The Bagatelle woven rattan chair elegantly embodies the French rattan style of the late XIXᵉ century. A faithful reproduction of a period model carefully preserved in our museum, it has been reissued in identical style, respecting traditional craftsmanship.

Designed to sit around a dining room table or in front of a desk, it also finds its natural place in a veranda or conservatory. It can also be used occasionally outdoors, provided certain precautions are taken: always in the shade (under a tree, parasol or awning), and tucked away under cover every evening.

With its slim lines and well-proportioned dimensions (92 cm high, 42 cm wide, 49 cm deep, seat 46 cm from the ground), it offers pleasant seating comfort, yet is lightweight (4 kg). Its structure is made of unpeeled rattan in a natural dark shade, while the weave is in patinated rattan splinting, complemented by red HDPE resin netting. The seat frame is made of solid wood, with straps for better hold. Finished with a satin-finish water-based varnish, each leg is fitted with a nylon glide - a spare set can be ordered in case of wear.

The Bagatelle chair is made in Indonesia, using the same artisanal techniques that are the hallmark of rattan furniture.
